In 2021 I moved from rural Virginia back to my hometown of Boston. The bulk of this album was recorded between 2021 and 2023, and is a bit of a sonic time capsule for this adjusting-back-to-Boston era.

An unexpected bonus of moving into my new neighborhood was the discovery of Franklin Park - it's Boston's largest park, and is an amazing natural sanctuary in the city. It's very special to be able to leave the sounds of the city behind, and find oneself all alone on a winding footpath or wooded trail. I found myself spending time there almost every day, often listening to music or just enjoying the birds sing.

This album was deeply inspired by the park, and all of the incredible music I've been able to listen to while walking it's paths. I hope you can enjoy this album in your own creative sanctuary.
